It’s all about the internet today when it comes to searching for that next home on Singer Island or anywhere else in the Palm Beaches. As you may have heard by now more than 90 percent of today’s homebuyers used the internet during their home-buying process. To better define the significance of digital media’s effect on home-buying, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) teamed up with Google to conduct research on this topic. Here are some of the results from their 2012 study of homebuyer trends with regard to purchasing a Resort/Second home:
- 93% of Resort/Second home shoppers used the internet during their home search;
- 56% of Resort/Second home buyers started their search online;
- Search engines were used by 20% of the home shoppers;
- Florida lead the location search, followed by South Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina and Ohio;
